Motorcycle Tires Maintenance Guide - 13 Mart 2020

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TIRE:
Tire Assembly
Fitting, disassembling, inflating and balancing of tires must be done by qualified personnel with suitable materials, without ignoring the following:

Compliance with the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations and legal requirements when choosing a tire: tire size, speed symbol, load index.
The tire inside and outside should be checked before installing the tire.
Tire removal, installation, balancing and tire pressure procedures should be followed and the valve should be changed systematically at every tire change.
Observe the mounting instructions on the sidewalls (direction of rotation or mounting direction).
Application of air pressure recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.

First Use
Sudden braking and sudden acceleration should be avoided at the first 100 km distance until the newly purchased tires reach their ideal performance, the vehicle should be used at an average speed and the cornering angles should be reduced.

Tire Repair
When your tire has blown, it is necessary to inspect the tire internally and externally to see if it is repairable. The tire should be repaired by experts. Tire repair sprays applied from the valve are only a temporary solution and should be shown to a specialist as soon as possible. Tires that are permanently deformed (ruptures, internal and external cracking, etc.) should not be used.

The tire must be checked carefully after the tire has been removed and before it is repaired. If there are traces of cracking in the inner cheek and inner tread of the tire, the tire has walked in low air and the tire cannot be repaired.

If the tire has any of the following damages, the tire should not be reused.

Distortion in the heel wire bundle
Break in rubber or carcass belts
Deformation in rubber or carcass belts
Degradation by oil and solvent chemicals
Cracks inside the tire due to low air pressure
Cracks in the rubber due to the aging of the tire

Tire Storage
Tires should be stored in dry, ventilated, dark and controlled environments.
It should be kept away from all chemicals, solvents, substances such as oil and gasoline that would disrupt the rubber structure.
It should be kept away from sharp materials such as metal and wood that can pierce the tire.
It should be kept away from heat sources and electrical appliances.
Tires should be stored vertically on racks placed at least 10 cm above the ground. In order to prevent deformity, it is necessary to change their places alternately once a month.
